St Moritz Ski Excursions Trips Deals Booking

On The Mountain
Skiing - Don't just stick to nice and easy Corviglia. The best skiing in St Moritz is found on the other mountains. Corvatsch is steep and uncrowded, there is a spectacular Morteratsch glacier run accessible from Diavolezza and Lagalb has thigh burning blacks all the way down.

Snow Safari - To get the most out of your regional ski pass, ski 3 mountains over 3000m, cover over 99km of runs and 6666m altitude on the St Moritz Snow Safari. Start off on Furschellas (Sils), ski over to Corvatsch, past the Hahnensee to the Signalbahn and then up to Corviglia and Marguns followed by a short bus transfer to Diavolezza. See www.snowsafari.ch for more information.

Night Skiing - Friday night skiing on Corvatsch is so much fun. The whole mountain is lit up so you can ski all the way down (it is the longest illuminated piste in Switzerland). The fun bit is stopping off at the Alpenhutte, an old hunting lodge, for a traditional fondue (don't go for the Fondue Plausch offer at the Middle Station restaurant - the Alpenhutte has much more atmosphere). Or how about full moon skiing on Diavolezza?

Snow Bars - The bar at the top of the Chanterella lift on Corviglia really kicks off at about 3pm. Try the Alpina too.

Restaurants - For a warming Gluhwein or a hearty lunch, stop at the cosy Gluna Restaurant on Corviglia.

Off The Mountain
Winter Walking - A walk along prepared winter footpaths lets you experience the snow-covered landscape in a very special way. There are 150 km of paths and trails waiting to be explored: leading to well known viewpoints, deep into sleepy side valleys and across frozen lakes.

Apres Ski - Head to Hotel Hauser's lively bar for a well deserved post skiing Gluhwein (or two).

Restaurants - Hotel Hauser has an atmospheric and lively restaurant. If you are staying in St Moritz Bad, try Restaurant Corvatsch for traditional Engadine specialities or if you fancy something more international, head to Hotel Laudinella which has a choice of 5 restaurants.

Live Music - The Hotel Schweizerhof has an excellent bar with live music.

Spa - On a white-out day, hop on the train and go to the spa in Scuol (Engadin Bad Scuol). It has a range of treatments and a beautifully heated outdoor pool - just sit back and enjoy the view. Or if you fancy staying in St Moritz, the Kempinski Grand has a good spa and you can pay for a day pass.

Cross-Country Skiing - As an alternative to downhill, there are some world class cross country skiing tracks along the Engadine valley which take you through picturesque, Romansch speaking villages.
